I am Balaram Mistry, a State Aided College Teacher at Netaji Nagar College. I have more than 10 years of experience in the media industries and 9 years in the  academics. I completed my bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in journalism and mass communication with a specialization in radio, television, and films from the University of Calcutta. I was awarded a Ph.D. in the School of Media, Journalism & Mass Communication at the University of Technology, Jaipur. 

I worked as a reporter with Uttarbanga Sambad, E-Tv (Eenadu Digital), S Newz (Essel Group), & Dubela News as an Editor. I also worked as a sales promotional executive at The Times of India and a business executive at Sandhya Satyajug. 

Also, I am a columnist on a few social journalism platforms like the Bengali daily newspaper Sukhabar. I serve as a guest lecturer at Harichand Guruchand University in the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication.
